About the team

Rebecca and her experienced, friendly team are available to support with care needs or those living with Dementia. Our day service is fully staffed so you can enjoy some much needed respite time.

Why put on a day service? It really makes a difference to independent living

Socialisation and Community Engagement:

Our village based day care service provides older adults in the rural areas around Fakenham & Holt with opportunities to interact with peers, engage in group activities, and combat social isolation. Building connections and friendships within a supportive environment can enhance mental well-being and reduce feelings of loneliness.

Respite for Caregivers:

Our day care service offers much-needed respite for family caregivers who may be overwhelmed with the responsibilities of caregiving. By entrusting your loved ones to our trained and professional team for a portion of the day, you can have time to rest, run errands, or attend to your own needs, preventing burnout and promoting your overall well-being. We can also give support & information to family carers. If you feel isolated as a carer, come along for a cup of tea, make some friends and join in the activities too.

Cognitive Stimulation:

Our day care programs for older adults incorporate activities designed to stimulate cognitive function and memory. Engaging in puzzles, games, discussions, and other mentally stimulating activities can help maintain cognitive abilities and potentially delay cognitive decline associated with aging.

Supervision and Safety:

We provide a safe and supervised environment for older adults, particularly those with health conditions or mobility issues. Trained staff can monitor participants’ health, administer medications as needed, and respond promptly to any emergencies that may arise, providing peace of mind for both participants and their families.

Access to Resources and Support Services:

We serve as a hub for accessing various support services and resources tailored to the needs of older adults in rural areas. This may include transportation assistance, health screenings, informational sessions on relevant topics (e.g., nutrition, financial planning), and connections to community-based organisations that offer additional support. By facilitating access to these resources, our day care service can help older adults maintain their independence and overall quality of life.
